Only the best for Ed...
Category NoneMy friend and colleague Ed Brill visited Kansas City for the second time on Tuesday night for a meeting at IBM on Wednesday, and we had the pleasure of going to dinner at Cafe Trio downtown. Food was great - you can't go wrong with a dessert called "Chocolate Spoon Suicide Cake", can you? Thanks to my good friend and marketing genius Carol Dobies for the suggestion.
Perhaps the most memorable part of the visit was Ed's luxury accommodations at the Embassy Suites Plaza, as it was undergoing much needed repairs, with ten stories of scaffolding, plywood, and ladders covering 80% of the floor space. It was precious. Just think of the benefits! You can jump from the 12th floor balcony and just get bruised. You had another way to get to your room if the elevator was full. And, you get to impress your friends and customers!
Seriously, we had a great time - good to have you here, Ed. Next time, we have a spare room if the hotel's, uh, "full". Yeah, that's it...full.
