Not only did I go to school there, Charley was my probably best friend for two years in high school - he was two years ahead of me. It's been 23 years since I've seen him or even heard what he was up to, and today, out of the blue, I got this message. Immediately I had flashbacks to his parents' house, the church where his father was a local preacher, his car, and the great times we had at school. He played piano for me once while I performed at a party of the foreign language club (I think I was president that year!) - Billy Joel, "Don't Go Changin' ". I learned about some Japanese traditions from Charley and his family. We were pals.
It's just amazing how things come around. I can't wait to catch up.
