Collaboration University -- Sessions and Agenda posted today
Category NoneI'm in Boston at the IBM Global Customer Partnership Council annual meeting -- a lot of great sessions going on for many of IBM's top customers. Between sessions here, I was able to finalize and post the sessions and agenda for Collaboration University to the site.
At first I thought there would be two rooms, but after a lot of consideration we expanded the conference to include 30 sessions -- so we've broken it to three rooms for individual break-outs, with some sessions for the entire audience -- such as the IBM-delivered ones on Sametime 7.5 plug-in development by Dan Kehn, and the sneak peek at QuickPlace 8.0 by Satwik Seshasai. I'm really looking forward to those.
We're also trying something novel on the last day. Before we do the panel and closing session, we have a 90-minute session with all of the Business Partner speakers going through the details of a completely integrated system. As we move from one piece of the architecture to the next, a speaker with expertise in that area will take over for 5-10 minutes to review that part of the system: clustering, SSO, Sametime Links, Blackberry integration, Custom themes, Placetypes, you name it. The session, "Bringing it All Together", will highlight the main points from many of the sessions earlier in the week, and serve as a prompt for questions during the panel. Also, this allows someone who missed a session earlier in the week to at least get a little technical introduction to the area.
If you're still on the fence about coming to Collaboration University, hopefully having the details will help sell it to the boss (or yourself
