Those of you who know me know a little about my affinity for great products, great UI, and the people/business side of collaboration. In this web log, if I can be successful in keeping up with it (a serious commitment for me) I expect to comment on something we in the tech world tend to spend little time considering. We at SNAPPS, like many small focused companies, tend to get tied up in one of two things - deep into our cutting edge code or keeping up with running our business. Very infrequently do we ever sit back and reflect on what's going on in the business world and how that affects our industry. I tend to rely on the Gartners, Gigas, and other analysts for that kind of info.
However, I'm an avid reader of business books, the HBR, and several vertical trade mags. And amazingly, a whole lot of what's being said there fits like a glove with what companies like ours do...so I'm going to talk about it, point it out, dispute it, whatever feels right at the moment.
