SNAPPS - Lotusphere 2009 Sessions

Category Lotusphere 2009
That time has come again - the Lotusphere sessions have been posted, and the gang from SNAPPS (which of course now includes veteran Lotusphere presenter Julian Robichaux) have us all very busy in the coming weeks. Of course the presentations are all due Dec 5th, but I'm sure you're most interested in the code. We're bringing Troy and Julian to the Galactic HQ in 2 weeks to do just that - work together finishing up code examples ("finish up" is relative - some of it will continue well into January).

We're also welcoming Rob McDonagh as a guest to SNAPPS that week, as he will be co-presenting with Julian.

Here's the rundown of our sessions:

BDD210: Slaying the Dragon 2009: How Small Partners Land Big Clients (Business Partners Only Session)
Rob Novak
With 20 years of increasingly successful business expertise, Rob Novak has been educating other business partners on the topics of executive and complex sales, proposal development, focus on profitable business, and marketing "gravity" for several years. This year, we'll spend more time on the nuts and bolts of proposals, changing your sales approach to maximize value for clients, and improving your business through personal brands.

BP104: Choosing and Using a JavaScript Toolkit
Julian Robichaux and Rob McDonagh
Look at all the JavaScript toolkits out there: Prototype, Scriptaculous, DoJo, YUI, Ext, MooTools, JQuery. Which one should you use? How do you get started? This session will outline a number of differences between these toolkits, along with some advantages of each one. We'll also show you examples of using each toolkit with your Domino databases and give you implementation tips as we go along. Don't let the myriad of choices confuse you. We'll help you get started and get productive.

BP111: Reports, Charts, and Graphs 2.0
Julian Robichaux and Rob McDonagh
Come learn how to quickly and easily create great looking charts and graphs of your IBM Lotus Notes data using Composite Applications, IBM Lotus Symphony, IBM Lotus Domino xPages, and modern web techniques. Impress your customers (and your boss!) without ruining your budget OR putting in overtime. Even better, we'll be giving away all of our code for free!

BP204: Enhancing IBM Lotus Quickr for IBM Lotus Domino with Web 2.0 Integration
Troy Reimer and Viktor Krantz
These speakers were the driving engineering force behind the popular Lotus Quickr Templates that shipped with Quickr 8 and have been continually updated. As well, they have been working with Quickr and its predecessors since 2000, developing applications for the world's largest Lotus Quickr customers. In this session, we'll introduce you to some innovations that make Lotus Quickr even more valuable to your teams - integration with external sources, tagging, categories, and more. Learn the techniques and pre-packaged code libraries that make Lotus Quickr development easy and valuable to your organization.

SHOW202: Show 'n Tell: Developing for Lotus Quickr Domino Services
Troy Reimer and Viktor Krantz
In this session, you'll learn how to develop custom themes for Lotus Quickr, implement custom forms, and build an application that can actually be used in your organization. We've developed a template for you to follow along, learning the intricacies of Lotus Quickr development and the most efficient approaches to programming based on their experience with the platform. Take away new approaches, new methods, and a new appreciation for what you can accomplish with Lotus Quickr.

and last but not least...

BP215: "The Great Code Giveaway": The Art of the Possible
Rob Novak and Viktor Krantz
Once again, we've invested hundreds of hours into new examples and applications that will open your eyes to "The Art of the Possible" with Lotus software. In its eighth year at Lotusphere, The Great Code Giveaway provides you with a new perspective and new applications that you can use to enhance your IBM Lotus Domino investment. Come and watch while we unveil this year's valuable - and free - applications and examples!

And believe me - there's more going into Lotusphere (from our standpoint as speakers) this year than ever before. We have some lofty goals with BP215 - while I can't tell you what it's about this year we'll be dropping some clues between now and Lotusphere!

Gravatar Image1 - Rob,some of our engineers attended the "BDD210: Slaying the Dragon 2009: How Small Partners Land Big Clients" session and have encouraged me to download it and read it. I haven't been able to find it where the regular sessions are posted. Could you send me a link or the presentation when you get a moment? Thanks!
