This video's a little wonky on the sizing, but here's 55 seconds of my ride from the Nashville to Dakar...notice how small the ship gets in 45 seconds. This boat she was fast...
Also pretty fascinating, here is some footage of the Beiruit evacuation in 2006 - as told by chef Anthony Bourdain who was part of that mission. A little inside scoop - on one of the rafters in the enlisted mess is painted a quote from chef Bourdain, which you'll hear in this clip: "Tuna noodle casserole and macaroni and cheese never tasted better than on the Nashville...".
