Hooray for Hollywood
Category LoLA Travel LotusEighteen hours after my wake-up call in London, I sit in the lobby of the Westin Diplomat Resort in Hollywood, Florida. The venue for the Lotus Leadership Alliance conference is, to sum it up, amazing. IBM has spared no expense...which is a signal to me that there is a lot of energy and investment around the Lotus brand. Kind of reminds me of big launches in the late 90's...when Lotus, just getting used to being part of IBM, would run major events to make announcements.
I can't describe it in words, really. It's a feeling. Like, you've been gone for a long time and finally made it home, and everything is like it was when you left. Sounds dramatic, I know, but that's just the way it feels.
I'm looking forward to working with Lotus execs for the next few days - and fitting in my neglected customer responsibilities - and oh yes, Lotusphere abstracts (!) - and will blog all that is allowed...
But tonight, sleep. To the waves crashing outside. Time to readjust the body clock.
