Quickr 8.1.0.1 (aka Fix pack 1) ships: Hold for news on template compatibility

QuickImage Category Quickr QuickrTemplates
Just found out via a Google Alert that the Quickr team has shipped "Fix pack 1" which is a roll-up of Hotfixes 1-19 for Quickr 8.1, plus some 51 additional SPR fixes. This revs your Quickr server to version 8.1.0.1.

If you are dependent on Quickr Templates from SNAPPS, please hold on for some initial testing from our team. Hotfixes have been known in the past to break functionality. In fact, a private hotfix #22 was slated to go public but we were able to stop the presses, as a minor change broke, well, pretty much everything.

Today just became testing day.

Gravatar Image1 - Hi, Rob.

We are just testing HF 22 for PT-br and I found your post. Can you specify the broke you find on HF 22, or was it already corrected before the release?

Thanks, Leonardo

Gravatar Image2 - HF 22 was never released publicly (defined as being on IBM Fix Central) due to this issue. Since then, FixPack 1 and 2 have been released. I'd look into those - where we don't have any issues that we're aware of.

Gravatar Image3 - Hi, Rob.

So, how's the testing going? Is all good?

Thanks,
Carolina

Gravatar Image4 - I have already installed HF22 for another reason. Iwas about to install the SNAPPS templates when I noticed this comment of yours. I have spoken to IBM QuickR support about this and they say they know nothing about this. Was there a particular spr that broke SNAPPS? or. do SNAPPS templates work on hf22.

Thanks.. Bob

Gravatar Image5 - HF22 was never made public on Fix Central. Since then, FixPack 1 and 2 have shipped, neither has the bug that was in HF22.

HF22 and the templates are not compatible.

Support wouldn't know about it because we convinced them not to go public with it, however it obviously stayed on the customer support ftp site for a while.
